Father of the founder of Neuronascent – an age-related therapeutics company – turns 100!
My father just reached the age of 100, a “young” centenarian, on May 31st 2020. Below he is pictured last year (September 2019) with his great grandchildren. Neuronascent believes that though someone has risk factors for age-related disorders or have been unable to exercise regularly throughout their life, there is still potential for pharmacotherapies to improve the healthspan of all aged individuals. In fact, Neuronascent is looking to halt and reverse cognitive deficits in chronic age-related disorders through the regeneration of neurons, not just their connections. Presently, we have a small molecule neuron regenerative therapy, NNI-362, in Phase 1a testing in a healthy aged population for Alzheimer’s disease, which is supported by the National Institute of Aging (R01 AG056561).
