Dr. Copple is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Starise Ventures and previously headed the for-profit venture arm of the American Society for Microbiology. With over twenty years' experience as a senior executive in biotechnology growth companies, Dr. Copple has extensive experience in raising capital and managing firms in both the public and private sectors She was the Chief Operating Officer at Neuralstem, Inc. and, prior to that, she ran the Office of Industry Liaison for the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute. Dr. Copple served as Vice President, Marketing and Investor Relations for Microfluidics International.
